ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Charly and I am a recent graduate from the University of Victoria's Recreation and Health Education program. I currently live on Vancouver Island with my husband and our  adventurous one year old chocolate lab Benson. When I am not leading kids programs at our local rec centre you can find me at the lake playing fetch, hiking new trails or exploring new creative pursuits with my blogging and photography.

If you would like to get to know me more, feel free to visit my

about me here.

I have spent the last 3 years programming and leading programs for kids ages 5-14 in the local rec centre. Programs have included after school care, summer camps, teen drop-in and special events. Prior to my experience working in the rec centre I worked as an activity aid in an assisted retirement home, as well as at a summer camp for intellectually disabled adults.

You can find a more detailed outline of my work experience here or download a pdf copy of my resume by clicking the link below.

PAST EXPERIENCE

Helping individuals find their love of recreation, whether it be a special place or a particular activity or hobby, is the passion that drives my work in the field of recreation. I hope to work in a position that brings families and communities together through new recreational experiences to enhance their quality of life.
